Shivam Pathak was unable to keep the momentum going and was eliminated from the Top 5.The decision was a tough one indeed, considering all the contestants in the Top 5 are of equal calibre and talent. Seen as one of the most talented contestants, Shivam’s elimination was a shocker to both the judges and the contestants.
The favourite of musician Shankar Mahadevan, 20-year old Shivam is a student of hardware networking in Mumbai with dreams of becoming a successful playback singer and music director.
Shivam was so upset by his elimination that he was unable to sing his farewell song. Instead, he requested judge Sunidhi Chauhan to do the honour for him.
Indian Idol 5 now has four contestants – Rakesh Maini, Bhoomi Trivedi, Swaroop Khan and Sreeram.
